About the ENA Injury Prevention (IP) Institute/EN CARE
The IP Institute is the injury prevention resource for emergency nurses and other emergency health care professionals. The IP Institute develops programs and tools aimed at helping emergency nurses prevent injuries among people of all ages. The IP Institute’s education programs aim to develop leadership skills to help emergency health care professionals adopt, implement and promote injury prevention in emergency department and community settings.
Mission
To reduce injury- and violence-related morbidity and mortality by developing, promoting, evaluating and disseminating injury and violence prevention programs for emergency health care professionals and the community.
Programs/Resources
The IP Institute’s programs and resources are targeted for patients who present with the most prevalent types of injury-related emergency department visits. Case studies, hands-on tools, and group activities provide opportunities to build skills, improve practice and deliver safer patient care.
